Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon
Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Sonoma County in Northern California where there is one hundred and fifty years of wine making history. (see also History Of Cabernet Sauvignon) Sonoma County is known for its excellence in creating some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon Wines in the world.
Among these excellent wines is the Blackstone 2002 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon which gives aromas and flavors of bright, fresh cherries with hints of spice, pepper and violets. This wine is a big and powerful Cabernet but the tannins are smooth and round making it a very enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon.
Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon wines are easily compared to some the best Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world. They are especially well-known for their rich, smooth flavors. Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon wines are also less expensive than many other Cabernet Sauvignon wines (like those from France's Bordeaux region). Many of the highest-quality Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon wines are priced between fifty and sixty dollars with some really great selections in the twenty to thirty dollar range. Cabernet Sauvignon Grapes produce wines which have always been known to be easy to drink with a full body. Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon wines are certainly no exception. The Clos Du Bois Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon which cost only around sixteen dollars a bottle is an excellent example of a great Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon. Not only does it provide a wide range of flavors likes blackberry, black currant, black raspberry, plum, blueberry, herbs, black olives, bell peppers and eucalyptus but it is also quite reasonably priced.
